About Heitman Laboratories, Inc.

Founded in 1989, Heitman Laboratories was located in Allen, Texas. We have always been located in the DFW area and now operate out of our manufacturing facility in Parker, Texas. Our location in the Dallas - Ft. Worth metroplex allows for rapid delivery of our product across the United States. We provide electronic pipe locating equipment and the accessories needed to properly utilize them in the field as well as repair services for the products that we sell to both our distributor network and our end users.
Heitman Labs was established as a family owned business and continues to be family owned today. The involvement of our family has been critical to the success of the business.  Starting with Lynn, our founder, and continuing today with the active involvement of his wife Deborah, our president, the standards have always been set high for quality first, customer satisfaction, and integrity.  The next generation of Heitmans, Aaron, Shannon, and Ryan have already contributed to the continuing growth of our company. We have managed to retain both our product expert and technician, John Smith and the advice of our contributing engineer, Dale Ezell since the early days of the company.

The Founder:  Lynn B. Heitman Lynn attended the University of Texas in Arlington where he received a BS degree in Electrical Engineering in 1969.  He was a member of engineering honor societies Et Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi.  Lynn went to work for Texas Instruments’ GSI division as an electronics design engineer.  During that time, he was named co-inventor of several patents and sat on TI’s patent committee.  His drive for excellence took him to Southern Methodist University where he completed his Master’s degree.  Lynn was promoted to Manager of TI’s Marine Engineering Group.  He worked for TI for about 20 years before deciding to start his own business. Heitman Laboratories was founded in 1989 specializing in innovative solutions to solve everyday problems. During this time, he received 7 patents for products that he developed and designed.  While several of these patents applied to Heitman Labs products he also developed the Solar Ant Charmer and ventured into grip pressure sensing golf gloves, HVAC products and assisted other inventors with their search for success.  In 1998 the Dallas Business Journal named him “Mr. Inventor”.  His instruments are sold throughout the world today.

Our products are all made from parts sourced in America and we have enjoyed the support of many of our vendors since the early days of the company. Their commitment to our standards of excellence has helped make our products among the best.

We offer a limited one year warranty against manufacturer defects that covers parts and labor. We can do this because we know our equipment is manufactured to the highest of standards and constructed with parts made in the USA.

We are proud to say that we seldom ever have to worry about warranty repairs because our line of plastic pipe locator systems is durable and designed for the kind of field use that we know our customers will subject them to on a daily basis.
